"once upon a time" with Walter

Been sick for a little bit but I'm back and catching up on the days of tv I missed.  Watching "Once Upon a Time" with my new puppy Walter right now.  Well he is sleeping thank goodness.  I needed a few min to myself.  Though I'm sure I'm going to lose 20lbs chasing this puppy around.  I can't believe Ben sent Red home on "The Bachelor"  As much as I hate to say it I only watch for Courtney.  I guess she's getting her 15 min of fame.  I have yet to see the finale of "Kourtney and Kim"   It seems like a LOTRs kind of day.  Oh "Inception" is on again.  "Twilight" Eclipse is on as well but I prefer New Moon lol.  Anyhoo. I have nothing really too say.  I'm feeling very tired and uninspired today.  I have to roast a chicken and make chili for tom.  Families are fighting so who knows I might be alone with the dog watching a "Top Chef" marathon lol.  The Voltaggio season of course.  I like the nice one Bryan best.  He should have one.  I usually like a good bad boy but Bryan had that twinkle in his eye lol.  Of course now they are both using their popularity together.  I still think Blais is the best TC contestant ever!!!

Sleepy girl meets "300 days of Summer"

So as usual I cannot sleep.  I am uploading some old Bruce Springsteen cds to my itunes that I found while cleaning. (Just realized there are 3 and I only have two of his live set)  Now that is going to bother the OCD in me.

We are getting a puppy on Wed and I am trying to puppy proof the apartment.  Finding lots of things that way.

Today I did stumble upon a sweet movie I wanted to see but just never did.  "300 days of Summer" quite likeable and fun.  On another note a few days ago I saw "Love and Other Drugs" which was much different then I expected.  Much more deep then I expected.  A very interesting look at Prescription Drug Reps.

My b/f is exhausted as usual.  He works very hard and long days.  So I watched both "Lethal Weapon 3" and "Days of Thunder" with him late in the day.  I did get to catch up on some "Kourtney and Kim take New York" lol I love the Kardashians though Khloe is my favorite by far!

Getting pumped for SAG awards tom.  DVR'd it incase I'm otherwise engaged.  I'm a little behind and haven't even printed out the nomination list yet.

Too many things are on Sundays nights.  If you have never seen "Shameless"  You better get on it lol.  Its on Sundays at 9 on Showtime and so good so funny and I won't tape that though just watch it on demand.

My favorite book is "The Great Gatsby" and for some reason I thought Amanda Seyfried was going to be Daisy but she isn't.  Carey Mulligan whom I have become infactuated with is Daisy.  I saw a few pictures from the movie today which isn't coming out till XMas.  Love it.  I think this time they might have gotten it.

Well I'm going to finish importing some cds and watch "Murder by Numbers"  Happy Sat to all

Mr. Darcy or Mr. Big?????

The one thing you will learn quickly about me is that I am obsessed with all things Mr. Darcy!  I love "Pride and Predjudice"  the book and the movie version (with Keira Knightly)  I believe all current leading men are at least partly from Mr. Darcy.

Now will he cure my Friday blues???  Or just make me question my personal relationship more?  Atleast watching reruns of "Sex and the City" or the movie give me more to dislike about Mr.Big.

Though I could go to the movies.....  "The Desendents" is calling my name even though I have no interest.  Whom could I drag to that with me lol.

In this blog I will try my hardest not to complain about my b/f.  However even the movies choices or music I listen to is dictated by how I feel about him.  Not that I'm any picnic either lol.

The long and the short of it is... I'm an introvert and he's an extrovert.  I can be a chatty Cathy to people I know or one on one.  However groups are not my thing.  He is the life of the party and honestly it is so annoying!  I prefer to stay under the radar and he likes it pointed directly at him.  Plus he's not into anything I am.  He thinks a classic movie is "Days of Thunder"  not that its a bad movie but I have a b/f who at almost 30 is stuck in the early ninties.  Even his taste in music.  UGH!  Don't get me wrong he has many good qualities and I said I wouldn't complain.... wow lying already.  Shame on you Lauren! lol.

Well since all this is true.... I couldn't help but wonder.... (Sex and the City) lol are Introverts just boring?

To Be Continued.... Mr. Party Pants has changed his mind and wants to go to dinner.  Boys!  or Men or whatever :)

The First of Many! (Inception and beyond)

Like many I am getting prepared to watch the "Oscars"  I printed my list of nominees and I am shocked at how many of the movies I have yet to see or even peak my interest this year.  Someone please watch "the desendents" and explain why I should see that movie.  Maybe it will surprise me like "up in the air"

Ok so yesterday I saw "Inception" for the first time.  I know I know old movie.  Everyone had said it was confusing and it takes a few watches.  I personally was not confused.  However I do feel the ending was up for interpertation which is my least favorite endings.  If anyone has a comment on how they feel about the ending or that it wasn't open ended please let me know.

I love Leo Dicaprio's movies however It tends to take me longer to go see them because honestly it's work watching them.  I only watched "Inception" because I couldn't sleep as usual and I heard Tom Hardy was in it.  I am eager to see the new Batman and I wanted to see how he was.  I don't really remember him In "Rock n Rolla"  Which I only saw during a minor obsession with Daniel Craig.

Anyone else find it odd that Christopher Nolan puts all the same people in his movies?  Now I know that alot of directors use actors over again.  ie Leo and Marty.

So I love odd movies.  Movies people would say are long drawn out and boring.  Love them.  So if you are like me I suggest:

"Never Let Me Go"  based on a book that I haven't read but will now read.  It's British and has Carey Mulligan, Kiera Knightly and the soon to be Spidey Anderw Garfield.  It's a few years old but worth the watching if you like almost boring yet interesting movies.

So I don't know if anyone else is obsessed with "Once Upon a Time" on ABC or if it's just my obsession with all things Snow White but I'm loving it.  I DVR it though it's not on my must list however I watched the marathon a few weeks back and I love it.  It's getting me pumped for "Snow White and the Huntsman"  Why do I like KStew?  I do though.  Though above all drooling to see "the hunger games"  I read all three books in three days which is not saying much for me.  I read alot.  I'm 29 and obessed with teen fiction.  Well I should give myself some credit I read "the help" and "the girl with the dragon tattoo." before seeing the movies.

I always like suggestions of new or old movies or shows to watch.  I love to rent tv shows from the library that I never saw and watch them on a Sunday.  As if anyone is going to read this blog lol!

So book Suggestion:

"The Hunger Games"  if you have not read which is highly unlikely.  or another fave of mine:

"The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society"  I hope this gets made in to a movie.  It's told over a series of letters and is post WWII.

Currently at this moment I have "Avatar" on in the background.  Another movie I didn't see for so long.  It just didn't look appealing.  But of course one night when I couldn't sleep (or every night)  It was on and now I always watch it.  lol

Watch and Read oh and Listen,

Lauren :)
